BECAUSE THE ‘BEING’ IS NOT LOST

You cannot sleep for too long and you also cannot remain without body for too long because the ‘being’ is not lost. Because the ‘being’ is not lost, you wake up again after sleep and you are born again after death. The only difference is that after sleep you wake up in the same body and after death you are born into a new body.     The reason for this is the information which is stored within the ‘being’. This information, the common name for which is karmic memory, causes the ‘pulls and pressures’ within you. These ‘pulls and pressures’ within, do not let you sleep or let you sit alone for too long and thus make you to wake up or stand up and do the things in line with ‘ samsakaras within the being. Similarly, for the reason of these samsakaras the ‘being’ finds another body because samsakaras or karmic memory wants expression and this is how the journey ( avagaman ) of the ‘being’ continues and this game of birth and death is repeated.   Because of this ‘k...

MEDITATION IS LIKE CORRECTING A WRONG HABIT

Meditation is not external to you. Meditation is not something which you need to acquire from outside. Not at all. Your inner nature or your subjectivity is meditation. Meditation is your original nature. Meditation is your reality. Meditation is your true identity. The consciousness or energy of this existence is what we know as meditation. Because you have forgotten your original nature; because you have covered yourself with something artificial and imaginary; because you have worn something from outside which is not your truth, not your reality, you now need to practice meditation. You practice meditation in order to regain your original nature; to remember your true nature; to reclaim that which you lost sight of.   It’s like a wrong habit. First, you pick up that habit and then you make efforts to drop that habit. Unknowingly, you repeated that habit for too long and in that repetition, you became a habit itself. A time came when your habit started ruling you from within...

MEDITATION IS CONSCIOUS SLEEP

If you observe it closely, you will see that the whole creation – trees; mountains; other creatures etc - is in deep meditation. All other forms have no sense of individuality. They do not have enough consciousness to become aware of their individuality or existence. They exist in total unconsciousness. Compared to the rest of creation, only a human being is better placed because a human being has evolved to a certain level of consciousness and because of that he has a sense of individuality. He has some amount of consciousness, which other forms do not have, and hence a human being can become aware of his existence. He knows that he exists which other creatures do not.   We too undergo forced ‘meditation’ daily while we are in deep sleep because in deep sleep our individuality is not operative. This forced ‘meditation’ which we undergo during our sleep happens to us in complete unawareness. Because we cannot maintain awareness and hence are unable to experience this. That’s why ...

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO STATES IS……….

(this post is in continuation of the last post) Ego or individuality is the only difference between your two states of deep sleep and waking. In deep sleep there is no body-consciousness and hence you have no feeling or sense of individuality or ego. In deep sleep nothing exists for you. Even the world does not exist because the world exists in your mind and in deep sleep the mind too is not there. In deep sleep only the reality exists. In deep sleep, there is no ‘other’ but only one reality. You are one with the whole. Similar to the rest of creation, you too exist and move with the whole and hence no suffering or unhappiness. In oneness there cannot be any suffering or unhappiness. Suffering or unhappiness exists in duality. Suffering or unhappiness is when ‘other’ is.   But this changes with your waking up because with your waking up, your individuality also wakes up. You become body-conscious and with that your imaginary identity or ego becomes operative. With ego, comes t...
