DESTINY CREATES BODY
The physical form or what we know as body and destiny are closely linked. Destiny is nothing but ‘prarbdha karma’ allotted for this life which one has to work out in this life. There is a body because there is a destiny and because there is a destiny there is an appropriate body to work this out.
Whatever we may think or assume about ourselves but a human being is fundamentally nothing but a small amount of ‘karma’. These ‘karma’ are the residue or memory of our past actions which are recorded, among others, on the “prana”. This destiny is our own making which we create out of unconsciousness. Unconsciousness is ignorance i.e. identifying yourself with the body and living life with the feeling that “I-am-the-body’.
The “prana’ provides a basis for release of our destiny through gross manifestation in the form of the breath. With passing of every breath though we are getting closer to the death but at the same time the same passing breath also becomes a release because with every passing breath we drop lot of ‘karma’.
The nature thus provides an in-built mechanism for release but the problem is that in the process of working out of our destiny we create lot more new ‘karma’ which in turn are added to the existing stock of ‘sanchit karma’. And that’s how the life cycle keeps repeating.
Spirituality, therefore, comes handy to those who want to stop this cycle. Because spirituality is to hasten this process so as to kill the destiny in one go instead of working out it in installments. One can no longer be in the form of any kind if there is no destiny to work out. That is liberation which we know as “mukti” in the yogic tradition.
