SELF-REALIZATION IS FREEING THE ENERGY FROM PHYSICAL EXISTENCE
Whatever we may think or imagine about ourselves but the truth is that we are nothing but a small amount of energy. This energy is the same energy of this existence. Since this energy is trapped within a form, like a physical body, it has thus separated from its source. The energy of the existence is the source of physical creation that we see around us. Now, what we know as Self-realization or’ mukti’ or ‘moksha’ or liberation is nothing but freeing this energy from this trapping. If this energy is released off its trapping or physical existence, this energy will go back and merge with the energy or source of this existence, wherefrom it has separated. This merging of energy, upon release from its physical existence, is liberation or ‘mukti’. Thus ‘mukti’ or freedom, essentially means, freeing energy off its trapping or physical existence.
Why the energy has trapped within a physical form? The energy has trapped within a form like a physical body because this energy is carrying certain impurities. These impurities are in the form of impressions or imprints which we have gathered from outside. These impressions are traditionally known as ‘karma’ or ‘vasana’. Energy when clouded with impurities or ‘karma’ will always seek a physical form. A physical form like a body is nature’s arrangement to facilitate unwinding of ‘karma’ or imprints. So long the energy contains outside information or impressions it will continue seeking a physical form which is what we know as life cycle or ‘samsara’. But once this energy is cleaned off all impressions, the energy becomes pure again and pure energy can never be trapped within a physical form. The energy of the existence is pure energy which is free from all impurities. Pure energy has no basis or reason for seeking a physical form or being trapped in a physical form because there is nothing therein to unwind or reverse.
Why death is not permanent release? Release of energy happens upon death as well but that is not a release or ‘mukti’ from physical existence in real sense. Why so? Because death is only a temporary release of energy from the physical form. After some time such energy will seek a form again because the underlying reason for its seeking a physical form has not been eliminated. Impurities are the reason or basis for the energy seeking a physical form. The energy needs to be cleaned off all impurities for it not to seek a form again. Hence death is only transient. Death is just nature’s arrangement for continued life-cycle. Death means birth because death is the one side and birth is another side of the same coin.
What
is the way out for permanent release? Death means living life as a physical
body. Living life as a physical body means living in the assumption that I’m
this body and thus living life for the body only; for survival only. Living as
a physical form means not knowing your true identity and instead living in total
identification with the body. Living in identity with the body is living in
ignorance or unconsciousness. Unconsciousness is another name for ‘karma’ or
‘vasanas’. Living only for body means gathering more such karma or
unconsciousness and thus strengthening the basis for continued physical
existence because the 'karma' or unconsciousness drives you from within to live a
life of repetition. Repetition is not unwinding but strengthening of the same
unconsciousness or non-sense.
Permanent release of energy or ‘mukti’ can happen and happens only when we know our true identity and live life in identification of that. Energy is our true identity and living life in identification of that energy is living an original life and not a life of repetitions or unconsciousness. Living an original life is a real reversal or unwinding of impressions and thus cleaning the energy off its impurities. This is also known as living life consciously which is to live life in complete identification of that energy or consciousness which is the basis and source of this existence. Conscious living not only does the reversal of the old impressions or ‘karma’ but also puts a complete stop to gathering of more ‘karma’. This is conscious cleaning of energy off its impurities and thus obliterating the basis of physical existence. An enlightened being is one who has realized his true nature i.e. has become total consciousness. Becoming total consciousness is becoming pure energy and thus removing the basis for physical existence, once for all. When the body of an enlightened being falls we, though, look at it as ‘death’ but this is not a death but a release or ‘mukti’– release of energy. That energy never returns or seeks a physical form again but merges with the energy of this existence and hence not death. Death is only for those who live their life in unconsciousness because they will come back soon in another physical form.
