IF YOU ARE INVOLVED YOU ARE SPIRITUAL/ INVOLVEMENT IS LIBERATING

Involvement is divine. All the physical movements which we see around us is because of the involvement – involvement of the energy or existence which we know as consciousness. This body, which otherwise is insentient (jada) is active only because of involvement of that sentient force or energy. Even while one is alive, all what he does in his life is possible only due to involvement of this energy with that body. The moment this involvement of energy with the body stops, the body will no longer remain active which is what we know as death. Thus death is non-involvement and life is involvement of energy with the body. 

Involvement means ‘you’ – the real you or consciousness - are where you are and with what you are doing. Thus whatever you may be doing, say for example, walking and if your energy or consciousness travels with your walking ‘you’ are said to be in involvement with the divine. This is true for whatever else you may be doing. Similarly, when not doing anything, if you are with your energy or consciousness then you are in involvement. Hence involvement means being involved with your reality or your chetana. When you are in involvement you become a direct expression of your energy. Involvement is remembering all the time that energy is the doer and this body is just a tool for expression of that energy. That is what Self-realization is. The enlightened being is one who has recognized and has become aware of the truth that the energy or consciousness is the real doer and not he as an individual is the doer. He is fully involved with his divinity and has thus become a direct expression of that which IS. 

The same involvement becomes attachment when due to ignorance one identifies this energy with his body and imagines himself to be the doer. That is when, the sense of individuality or ego-sense arises. Ego-sense is forgetting the truth that energy is the doer and instead imagining or thinking that this body is I’m and I’m the doer. Attachment makes you live as a limited being. On the contrary, with involvement you can live as a limitless being because involvement or consciousness knows no limits. Energy is involved with everything. It’s there with us whatever we may be doing. Resistance; liking; disliking; judgements; reactions; preferences are our doing. 

Thus, if you are involved you are spiritual because you are in involvement with your spirit or your divinity. You are in touch with the truth and live in truth by remembering all the time that energy or consciousness is the doer. Ignorance is to live in your ego-sense and imagining that I’m or this body is the doer. 

With involvement you are in your original nature and hence involvement is liberating. Ignorance binds you because with ego you become other that what you are. When your focus is on the outside, you are in attachment and attachment is binding. But when the same focus turns on your inside you are in involvement and involvement is liberating. Hence keep your focus within. Meditation is a method to become involved with the divine.

DISSOLUTION OF THE MIND – HOW?

Peace is our original nature, because, we exist, in total peace, in our sleep. However, in our waking, we never know about peace. In our waking, we are never peaceful and are rather disturbed, because, mind is active. Mind is a disturbance, to our peace. Thought, is a disturbance to our peace, because, mind is not our original nature. In sleep, because, this mind disappears, for a while and hence, we exist in our original nature i.e. in complete peace.   Our reality is consciousness. So, the whole spirituality and spiritual practices, are about dissolution of this mind, into consciousness, so that you can always exist, in your original nature i.e. in total peace.
