THE ONLY QUESTION, WORTH ASKING, IN THIS EXISTENCE IS ‘WHO AM I’

Why so? Because ‘Who Am I’ is the only existential question which is worth asking and worth finding an answer of. Every other question is just your mind game; just a play of your mind. So, if you ask every other question or want to get an answer of those questions such as what is hell; what is heaven; what is mokhsa ; what is god etc then you are just playing in the hands of your mind. Because all these questions and for that matter, any other question, has nothing existential in it but just your mental eagerness. And mind is nothing but your ego and thus, when you ask all these questions, it is nothing but you are just massaging your ego, you are just nourishing your ego and your ego has nothing to do with that which is existential.   This question “Who Am I” is existential ( astitavgat ) because this question has to do with this existence; with your own existence. If you, thus, seek and find an answer to this question, then you get to know the very nature of this existence and...

WHO ARE YOU – ARE YOU THE ONE WHO SLEPT LAST NIGHT OR THE ONE WHO IS AWAKE NOW?

Did you notice that in your waking state everything else exists? The world is there. Others are there. What you know as ‘me’, I mean the body-mind is there. What you know as ‘mine’ i.e. your relations; your physical possessions etc too are there. Not only the physicality but your suffering; your anxieties and worries, too, are there. Also, you have all kinds of experiences to experience in your waking state. Similarly, all your questions about everything else in this existence are also there while you are awake. Not only but the otherworldly things such as god, heaven, hell; devil, demon etc ,too, are there. In brief, what I want to say, that in your waking state, everything else exists.   However, all that which existed in your waking state, suddenly, disappears in your sleep. All that which existed in your waking state, are not there, in your sleep. In sleep, nothing else exists for you. The world does not; others do not, ‘me’ and ‘mine’ too do not exist; your questions are no...

BY REMEMBERING YOUR DEATH, YOU CAN KNOW THAT WHICH IS DEATHLESS

You are not supposed to write or talk about death because death is considered a taboo. But let me reveal you one secret, which is that by remembering your death, you can also know that which is deathless, that which never dies or that which is not subject to destruction. For that to happen, what really, you need to do is to just follow one simple rule, which is that always remember your death, by constantly reminding yourself that ‘I may die next moment’. I am going to talk about this secret in this post and will try to explain as how constantly remembering your death, can work for you to find that which is deathless, as how remembering your mortality, can help you find that which is immortal. This will happen in stages, as described hereunder –   Stage 1 – Now, if you sincerely follow the above rule in your everyday life, then what will happen is that, you will begin to realize that this body is not going to be, there with me forever and one day it will fall, which we know as ...
