THE ONLY QUESTION, WORTH ASKING, IN THIS EXISTENCE IS ‘WHO AM I’
Why so? Because ‘Who Am I’ is the only existential question which is worth asking and worth finding an answer of. Every other question is just your mind game; just a play of your mind. So, if you ask every other question or want to get an answer of those questions such as what is hell; what is heaven; what is mokhsa; what is god etc then you are just playing in the hands of your mind. Because all these questions and for that matter, any other question, has nothing existential in it but just your mental eagerness. And mind is nothing but your ego and thus, when you ask all these questions, it is nothing but you are just massaging your ego, you are just nourishing your ego and your ego has nothing to do with that which is existential.
This question “Who Am I” is existential (astitavgat) because this question has to do with this existence; with your own existence. If you, thus, seek and find an answer to this question, then you get to know the very nature of this existence and the nature of your own existence. You come to know the reality or truth of this existence. In fact, once you find an answer to this basic question, you, thereafter, will not have any other question to ask because, in answer to this question, is hidden answers of all other questions. An answer to this question, will make you totally silent and still and will thus put an end to your questioning itself. You will exist here, one with the existence; like the existence itself.
Also, only when you ask this fundamental question to yourself and work in the direction of finding an answer to this question, you really become a sadhak (seeker) and being a seeker is being spiritual. Asking all other non-sensical questions, will never make you spiritual or a seeker. Further finding an answer to this essential question alone, can release you from this physical or bodily existence, which we know as liberation or mukti. Asking and getting answers to all other questions, including even the questions about the god itself, can never release you. Hence seek answer to this basic question - ‘Who Am I’ - and be liberated in this body itself. (“Want to know ‘Who AM I’ – try this simple method” ……..read in the next post)
