DO YOU WANT OTHERS TO BENEFIT FROM YOUR COMPANY? DO THIS….

Did you notice that there are persons, you always want to be with them; you love their company and hence want to be in their company; you are, always, attracted to them? On the other hand, there are persons, you always want to avoid. You don’t want to meet them; you do not want to be in their company. You are, a sort of, repelled by their presence. Why this is so? Did you ever try to figure out the reason for this? What is that, in them, which attracts or repels you? The answer is, presence or absence of ego or individuality in them. People, who you want to avoid are those, who are full of themselves i.e. they are full of ego, full of their individuality. On the other hand, those who have no sense of ego or sense of individuality, are the ones, you always want to be with them. You always relish their presence and hence you, always, wish to be in their company. That’s the reason that you are always attracted to an enlightened being. You always want to be in his ‘presence’, because an...

KHALI DIMAG SHAITAN KA GHAR NAHI HAI (EMPTY MIND IS NOT DEVIL’S WORKSHOP) AS IS UNDERSTOOD. KHALI DIMAG ISHVAR KA GHAR HAI (EMPTY MIND IS DIVINE’S WORKSHOP)

When we say empty mind is devil’s workshop ( khali dimag shaitan ka ghar hai ), what we, usually, understand by that is, ‘someone sitting idle and not doing anything physically’. But that’s not correct to say because, physical doing, though seen by others is not the only doing. There is another kind of doing, which, though, is not seen by others and yet that doing keeps us engaged, our whole lives. That doing is mental doing. Our mental activity or thoughts, are much more impactful than our physical doing and keeps us busy, all the time, all our lives. Thus, a person, though, not involved in any physical doing but if, preoccupied in one’s mental activity or thoughts, then he cannot be considered a person with empty mind in the spiritual sense.   In the spiritual context, empty mind, means ‘empty’ in literal sense which is that your mind is absolutely empty – empty of all thoughts; empty of all your mental activity. That is what empty mind, really, is and such an empty mind is no...

BHOGI OR YOGI?

A bhogi or pleasure-seeker, does not mean, indulging oneself in worldly pleasures. Not at all. A bhogi is one, whose energy is, always, flowing in one direction i.e. in the direction of the physical or the world because world is physical. Mentally, he is always occupied in the thoughts and thoughts are of the world and about the world only. Thoughts are about forms and objects. There cannot be any thought about the emptiness, about the nonphysical. Thoughts provide a direction to your energy. Physical action or body is just a tool in the hands of your mind. A bhogi, too, is a yogi in one sense, which is that, he is also in union –yoga means union- but his is union is of the different level, of the lowest level. A bhogi is in union, with the gross. Thus, he always, exists at the lowest level. Physical is the lowest. Living at the physical level or seeking company of the physical is, to live at the lowest level. A bhogi or worldly person, thus, lives a horizontal existence, meani...

BEING SPIRITUAL MEANS, FIXING YOURSELF AND NOT OTHERS

We, usually, blame others saying that, someone on the outside , is a problem to me. Others are a disturbance, to my peace. We say, he or she doesn’t let me live, in peace. Now, let me tell you that, those on the outside are just doing their jobs. They are doing, what they know. For example, you sitting, in meditation, in your room and a dog barked on the outside. You got disturbed by that barking and you reacted within, saying that, ‘this dog is disturbing me’. Now, the poor dog, doesn’t know that, you are meditating or he does not know as, what you are doing. The dog is just doing what, he knows. The same is true for all the movements, which you see on the outside. The outside, too, is nothing but just a play of unconsciousness only. Now, if you also react to what is happening then you, too, are becoming an expression of the same unconsciousness.   Now, if you also exist here just as unconsciousness like, others, I mean, as a mind only then, yes, you are right, that others are ...
