PEOPLE WILL GATHER AROUND YOU, NOT BECAUSE OF YOUR BODY BUT BECAUSE OF YOUR ‘PRESENCE’

The usual reason, we are attracted to each other, is our bodies. Because, you like the body or because you have a good body, you attract others and you get attracted to others. We, thus, are fundamentally, attracted to the physical. Now, nothing new in it. This is very much happening, all over. This is all about the physical and hence, is worldly i.e. just an attraction to the body and by the body. 

Our attraction to the opposite sex, is nothing but just an attraction, to the bodies only. Now, you may think, that you are attracted to a particular man or woman but this is not the case, because that attraction, is not to that particular man or woman but just an attraction to the body of that man or woman only. In fact, the same will happen to you, when you see other men and women also, because attraction is not to a particular person, as you may think, but to the bodies, in general. 

Attraction to the bodies is physical, which usually translates into bodies meeting, at the physical level, which we commonly know, as sex. This meeting of bodies is, of no help, in your spiritual growth. But there is another kind of attraction, which can help you grow, spiritually and can give you a taste of the ‘beyond’ and that attraction is, at the level of the energy. That happens, when you become a ‘presence’ and ‘presence’ is of the existence, of the consciousness, of the divine, of that which IS. This existence is just ‘presence’ and has no sense of individuality or ego about it and that’s why, everything which needs to happen, simply happens, in its presence and happens, because of the presence of the consciousness. 

So, if you too become a ‘presence’ only i.e. completely empty of yourself or of your ego or of your individuality, then you too will attract others. People will gather around you, not because you have a good body but they will be attracted to your ‘presence’. Because, they will find your ‘presence’ very dissolving, very relieving. That’s the reason, that a Self-realized ‘being’ attracts people from all around. People gather around him and want to be in his ‘presence’, because in his ‘presence’, they tend to get a taste of the ‘beyond’. In his presence, your mind disappears for a moment and you get a taste of the bliss or ananda. This bliss, is of the presence of the existence, of the consciousness, because that Self-realized being has, now, just become total presence, total consciousness. He, now, exists here, as a ‘being’ and not, as a person. ‘Being’ is presence and person is persona or the personality, meaning, ego. 

Because, we are full of ‘sex’, all the time, and hence, we attract ‘sex’ and get attracted to the ‘sex’. ‘Sex’ means physical and not what we usually understand. In fact, whatever, the physical you see around, is nothing but sex only, because the physical is born out of two opposite energies. Because, we exist here, as a person or as a personality, we attract different kinds of persons, for different reasons, I mean, for worldly reasons but a Self-realized ‘being’ attracts people, for spiritual reasons. You get attracted to him, energy-wise and not body-wise. Being in his ‘presence’, is meeting of energies and not of bodies, not of persons. Meditation is nothing but learning to exist here as a presence.
