EMPTINESS IS THE REALITY, IS THE TRUTH

Imagine, for a moment, that you are sitting, in your room. A few moments later, your wife joined you there, in the same room and was there with you, for some time. Take another situation - next day, two of your friends came to see you and you took them, into the same room and sat with them. Take one more situation - there is no one in the room. Now, what I’m trying to say, is that the center, the soul, the heart, the reality of what you know, as my room or my home, is the emptiness and not the belongings, in that room or the concrete walls of that room. Yesterday, when your home was not there, still the emptiness was there. Today, the same emptiness is holding, what you know, as my home and tomorrow, when your home was gone and yet the same emptiness would still be there. 

The emptiness was, is and will, always, be. The same emptiness, in what, you know as your room, held you, your wife and two of your friends, as well. Even, when there was no one, in the room, still the same emptiness, was there. People may come and go but the emptiness is always there. Innumerable generations have happened, so far, in the same emptiness, as we are happening today. Tomorrow, we would be gone and yet the same emptiness, would still be there. Thus, emptiness only IS. The emptiness is the reality, not only of what you know, as my home but for that matter, everything else, in this existence. Everything, I mean, whatever the physical, which you see around, is held by the same emptiness and all that physical, is happening in the same emptiness only. 

All the physical creation, comes out of this emptiness, is held by this emptiness and finally sinks back into the same emptiness. You can’t imagine creation or physical without the emptiness. Nothing in this existence exists and can exist, apart from this emptiness. Emptiness is like, the screen upon which all the creation or the pictures happen. Pictures come and go but the emptiness, like the screen is always there. Also, this emptiness is never touched or disturbed by what happens, in its lap, like a screen is never impacted by the movement of the pictures, upon it. Whatever that is happening, now, I mean, the physical movement or which has happened, so far, couldn’t disturb this emptiness. 

Emptiness is the reality of this existence. Physicality is just a brief happening, in the lap of the emptiness. Emptiness is the universality, is the oneness, is the one existence. Emptiness is your reality, too, because the same emptiness is functioning within us, as well. Emptiness or the reality, is so obvious and yet, we tend to miss the same, because we always see and are carried away by the physicality. 

So, if you just exist here, as a physical only i.e. you only see the physical and move or exist with the physical, then you will exist here, as a brief happening like rest of the creation. But, if you shift your focus from physical to the emptiness, which surrounds and holds you, all the time, then you will go beyond the physical, beyond the suffering, beyond the bondage. You will exist here, like this existence, undisturbed, unaffected, unruffled by the happenings here and when the moment comes, you will be absorbed by this emptiness itself and would become the emptiness itself. 

Please know, that you become what you focus upon. You attain to what, you focus upon. If you remain with the physical, you will attain to the physical. However, if you shift your focus from the physical and be with the emptiness, then you will go beyond the physical. A realised being exists here, as complete emptiness i.e. merely as a presence and the whole existence happens, in that emptiness, in that presence and still he remains unperturbed, undisturbed and unaffected by those happenings because he now exists here, as this existence. Existence is emptiness, pure presence. Meditation is practicing to learn to know and exist in the emptiness within.
