THE WORLD EXISTS IN AND BY YOUR RECOGNITION ONLY
Do you know that, in reality there is no world, there is no physical? The world exists in and by your recognition only. The physical exists for you, because you recognise it. If you stop recognising it, if you stop acknowledging it, then the world is not, then there is no such thing, as physical or the world, out there. Your recognition, in the form of your reaction and expression alone, makes the world, exist, for you.
Now, your recognition i.e. your reaction, is in your mind, because the mind is the cognisor or the watcher. In consciousness, there is no seeing, there is no watching. That’s what happens to you, in your deep sleep. In your sleep, the world suddenly disappears for you, the world or the physical or others don’t exist for you, because, in sleep, the cognisor, I mean, the watcher i.e. the mind is not and because the watcher or the observer is not and therefore, the observed or the seen, too, is not. In sleep, because the mind is not and hence, there is no one to recognise or to react and therefore, the world, too is not. The world or the physical, thus, exists in and by your recognition only.
In sleep, only the reality, the consciousness, does exist and in consciousness, there is no other and hence, there is no seeing or watching. Your reaction or expression, is in the mind and of the mind only. Mind means thoughts and thought, is just an idea which exists only in your mind, which has nothing to do with the reality. Let me explain this, with the help of an example. Imagine for a moment that, you are sitting in your room and you heard a dog barking on the outside. Now, the usual thing, is that upon hearing the barking or for that matter anything else, we usually react within, by saying or mumbling to oneself, ‘Oh a dog is barking,’ or ‘Oh, it’s my neighbour’s dog’ etc.
Now, this reaction is nothing but your recognition of what happened around you, which in turn means, that you got moved within i.e. there was a movement or vibration (kampann) within. In the movement or vibration only, others or the world exist for you because, others are in your thoughts, in your reaction only. You get connected to others, by your thoughts and in your thoughts only. However, if you choose not to react to the noise on the outside, then the dog or its barking or for that matter, anything else, in this world, would not exist for you.
So, if you stop moving within, then you would exist here, as pure awareness or pure consciousness, like this existence because, in consciousness, there is no movement. Consciousness is total stillness. Consciousness is the Source or the Center and, in the Center, there is no movement. Center, is always untouched and unmoved by the physical movement or the physical noise. The noise is on the periphery only.
So, if you exist here, as a mind i.e. as a movement because mind is nothing but movement only, then, of course, the world or the physical or for that matter everything else, exists for you. However, if you learn to exist here, as total stillness i.e. just awareness, as you exist in your sleep, then the world doesn’t exist for you. Because, now the physical or the world doesn’t disturb you, doesn’t move you from within. That’s what awareness is, meaning, you are just conscious, just aware. If, you don’t think, you don’t react or you don’t express, then nothing really exists for you.
Please know that, when there is no movement, no vibration (kampann) within, then the outside does not exist for you and yet you exist fully, because you exist here, as pure awareness or pure consciousness. Awareness is the nature of this existence. Meditation is a method which prepares you to exist here, as pure awareness and to remain connected to your Center or to the Source.
