BECAUSE YOU DON’T KNOW, HOW TO BE IN THE COMPANY OF YOUR 'SELF’, YOU ARE SEEKING COMPANY OF OTHERS.

Did you notice, that you always want to remain busy, doing something, because, you can’t remain, unoccupied i.e. without doing. That’s the reason, that people remain busy, all through their lives and they also die, doing until the last moment. The reason is that, they can’t remain unoccupied. Even, when you get an opportunity to be alone by ‘yourself’, you don’t want to use that opportunity and instead you get involved with some activity. If not anything else, you will pick up something to read or you will switch on the TV etc. 

Nowadays, you don’t even have to look faraway, because the handiest thing, which is available to you, is your smart phone, which you carry, in your pocket, all the time. That’s why, you will see, that people are always involved with their phones. They are just watching and reading the same photos, same videos and same messages on their smart phones, again n again, so that they can, somehow, remain occupied, all the time. They are busy, just, for the sake of being busy.   

In fact, let me tell you that, all what we are doing is nothing but to, somehow, remain, occupied because, we can’t remain unoccupied. Not only, but all the means of entertainment, which you see around or the new ones, which are being created, every other day, are nothing but to just keep yourselves occupied because, preoccupation or doing has become our habit. Doing has, thus, become compulsive for us. Doing has become an addiction to us. We all are, thus busy, without business.  

So, doing or preoccupation or being busy, all the time, is nothing but just seeking company of others i.e. to be in the company of others. This is simply for the reason, that you have not yet got a taste of your ‘own’ company. Because, you don’t know a thing about ‘yourself’ and hence, you always want to be in company of others. 

Others means the world. Others means the physical, because others are due to the physical. So, seeking company of others or being in the company of others, means, you exist here as a physical. You see yourself, as this body and hence, you look at others, too, as bodies. Because, you always seek company of others and you remain somehow occupied or busy with others and hence, you always come back in a new body, because physical is bondage. Physical is an escape from the truth, from the reality. Bondage is because of the physical. Bondage is, because you identify with the physical, the untruth. 

Seeking company of others or being in the company of others, means, you are outward bound because physical is on the outside. Outside is nothing but the world or the physical only. However, if you turn inward and shift your attention from outward to inward, you will know about that which is the basis of all. You will then exist here as just ‘Being’ i.e. you will always exist in the company of your ‘Being’ or the ‘Self’ and will never seek, company of others, compulsively. 

Because, you are busy, all the time, in your own nonsense and therefore, you fail to notice, that which is the sense. Because you are busy, all the time, with that which is NOT, that you miss that which IS. Else, the common sense, can always tell you, that if there are pictures, then obviously, there should be a screen, too. Because, without the screen, the pictures are impossible; without the screen, you can’t see the pictures. Meditation is a method, to learn to be, in the company of your ‘Being’ or your ‘Self’.
