MEDITATION ISN’T EXCLUSIVE ABOUT ANYTHING SPECIFIC, BUT, IS ALL-INCLUSIVE, IN NATURE.
Did you know that, this existence or consciousness, has no resistance to anything? It, has no liking or disliking about anything or anyone. This existence, doesn’t stop anyone, from doing anything or doesn’t stop anything, from happening. Why? Because, this existence or consciousness, is total awareness. Awareness, is the nature of consciousness and that’s why the word, consciousness, because, consciousness or energy, of this existence, is conscious or aware, by itself.
Since, the same consciousness, is functioning within us, as well and hence, awareness is our nature too and hence, what we know, as meditation, is nothing, but, a state of total consciousness or awareness only. Meditation, is a way, to exist here, as just ‘being’, just ‘presence’, like this existence and be fully aware, of all that happens, within and around you.
Awareness, essentially means, that you, let the whole existence happen through you, with exclusion of none and resistance to none. It’s like, you are sitting in, your room, for meditation and now several things, may happen, within and around you, say, for example, you may have some itching or sensation in your body, you may have thoughts crossing your mind, you might hear variety of noise or sounds, say, of a child crying, a bird chirping or a dog barking etc. However, being in a state of meditation or awareness, means, you are just there, as a presence and you are just aware of what happens withing n around, without any reaction or resistance or words of yours. That’s what meditation is all about.
Resistance or reaction, I mean, exclusion of anything, is of the ego, of the body, of the physical, of the person and hence, is your doing, and not of the awareness, not of the existence. Awareness is pure knowing i.e. knowing, without any reaction or resistance. Meditation or awareness, is nature of this existence and hence, is existential in nature and is not our making. Meditation, thus, is not exclusive to anything or specific about something but is all-inclusive, in nature. It, doesn’t exclude anything. Meditation or awareness, rather includes all, welcomes all.
Nothing really, therefore, is beyond awareness or apart from, this existence or consciousness. That, which is exclusive to anything specific, is not meditation. For example, contemplation or brooding, over one specific thing or thought, is not meditation. Similarly, concentration, in which, you exclude everything else except, the object of your focus, object of your attention, too, is not meditation, because, meditation or awareness, doesn’t exclude anything.
Please know that consciousness IS, and consciousness just exists and that’s why, the term existence, is also used for consciousness. Existence, means, that, which simply exists. So, being meditative, means, you are just ‘existing’, just ‘being’ here, like this existence i.e. as nonphysical, as a presence only. Awareness is our reality, our nature, too, and hence, to exist in one’s nature, is to exist in meditation or in awareness.
