Do you know, how the one time prince, by the name of Siddhartha later came to be known n worshipped as lord Buddha?

Do you know, how the one time prince, by the name of Siddhartha later came to be known n worshipped as lord Buddha? How from a common man, he came to be known as ‘Bhagwan’ or the Buddha? The answer is that this became possible because Siddhartha chose the path of rebellion. Please understand one thing that, to be spiritual or to become meditative is to become a rebel. Now, this rebellion is not against any person or institution on the outside but this rebellion is against what is happening or going on, on the outside.

So, being spiritual, means, not taking what’s happening or going on, as what it appears to be but deciding to find out the truth for oneself, experientially. To find out, if what appears on the face of it, is all or is there something beyond which what’s seen? So this is what prince Siddhartha did that he adopted the path of rebellion. He didn’t go by what his charioteer said to him but instead he decided to find it for himself by his own efforts, as what’s the truth n hence, that day itself, he left his home. He just didn’t become contented with what’s happening or being followed about n instead he decided to seek n know the truth experientially, on his own.

Had Siddharth, too, become contented with what was explained to him or what he saw, then Siddhartha too would have lived n died as Siddhartha ie as a common man n the humanity wouldn’t have got their Gautama the Buddha. Had Siddhartha too gone by the advice of his charioteer, that old age, illness, death etc do happen to everyone then he wouldn’t have known that which is beyond death, beyond old age n beyond illness. Siddhartha could become n came to be known as lord Buddha only because he didn’t go by the consolation or advice of his charioteer n instead stood against it n that night itself he left everything including his beautiful n young wife n newly born son n that too, in the prime of his youth n went to the jungles in search of the truth.

So spirituality or meditation is the path of rebellion. The path of lord Buddha n Mahavira ie the path of knowledge, is the path of rebellion. All the methods on this path such as meditation, self-enquiry etc are nothing but the ways of the rebel. So, the point is that don’t just take what happens or appears on face of it but stand against that n find the reality, the truth for yourself. Find out, if the physical which we see, is all or there’s much more than that? Please know that Siddhartha came to be known as lord Buddha only, when he experientially knew that dimension which is beyond old age, beyond illness n beyond death.
