CONSCIOUSNESS IS ALWAYS FRESH; ALWAYS AS IT IS. OLD IS OF THE MIND

The consciousness is always fresh; always new because in consciousness there is no memory. C onsciousness or the ultimate reality is like a cinema screen upon which is reflected the entire physical reality. This screen is never affected by the number of pictures which it shows up. Also, this screen never retains anything of that which appears on it and always remains unaffected and untainted by all that happens on the screen. For example, you see water, fire and blood spilling on the screen but the screen is never touched or spoiled by all those happenings. If it were, then could a new picture would have appeared on it? Never. A new picture can appear only on a screen which is empty and clean and has no trashes of old pictures. Similarly new letters can appear on a paper only when that paper is spotlessly clean.     Consciousness, thus, does not retain anything of what it shows up. यदि मृत्यु को जानना है, तो अपनी नींद को जानो

  क्योंकि दोनों समान है। मृत्यु और नींद में कुछ खास अंतर नही है। अंतर इतना ही है की नींद छोटी मृत्यु है और मृत्यु बड़ी नींद है। नींद के बाद आप वापस जागते है , तो मृत्यु के बाद भी आप फिर से अवश्य जागते है। फर्क इतना ही होता है की नींद के बाद आप पुनः उसी शरीर में जागते है जबकि मृत्योपरांत आप दूसरे शरीर में जागते है । नींद भी बेहोशी ( unconsciousness) है और मृत्यु भी बेहोशी है। आप नींद का अनुभव नही कर पाते क्योंकि नींद के तुरंत पहले आप बेहोश हो जाते है यानी, आप अपनी जागरूकता ( awareness) खो देते है। बिल्कुल उसी तरह मृत्यु के तुरंत पहले आप अपनी चेतना खो देते है और आप मृत्यु का अनुभव नही कर पाते। इसी चेतना या जागरूकता के अभाव के चलते आप कभी नही जान पाते की आपने नींद में कब प्रवेश किया। और इसी वजह से आप यह भी कभी नही जान पाते की आपने मृत्यु में प्रवेश कब किया। नींद और मृत्यु दोनों में ही आप बेहोशी के कारण सचेत नही उतर पाते है।   नींद और मृत्यु ओर कुछ नही मन की ही अलग-अलग अवस्थाएँ है। मन यानी बेहोशी या चेतना या सजगता का अभाव। नींद के तुरंत पहले आपका मन कुछ समय के लिए खो जाता है लेक...

MEDITATION IS ‘JUST SITTING’

Meditation is just sitting; which is that you are not doing anything, you are not doing anything at the level of your body and mind but you are simply sitting. Simply sitting is ‘being’ and ‘being’ is your existence. This whole existence is just ‘being’ or just ‘presence’. Thus, when you are just sitting and not doing anything, you are in the company of your existence; you are in the company of the divine. Simply sitting and not making effort of any kind is to be with your Self and to be with the Self is to be in meditation.   ‘Doing’ is not meditation. Doing is ego; doing is your individuality. Doing is of the mind and hence so long doing is there; mind is there and you, therefore, cannot be in meditation because meditation is not a doing. Meditation is ‘non-doing’. Meditation is transcending mind. Only when you go beyond your mind, you can be in meditation. Samsara means physicality and physicality always exists in duality. Duality ( dwait ) means many and many can happen or exist in opposites only. This samsara too happens and exists in duality or opposites such as day n night; death n birth; pain n pleasure; male n female etc. Physicality can exist and flourish only in a world of opposites. In oneness ( adwait ) there is no duality, there are no opposites and hence no physicality.      However, the important thing which we need to understand is that this wheel of samsara is happening on a Center which is always fixed. The wheel of a ghatti or a quern too moves on an unmoving support in the Center similar to the wheels of a bullock cart which move on a fixed or unmoving hub. Without that fixed Center, without that unmoving hub; without that fixed support the wheel cannot move. This Center is not only the source of all movements on the periphery which we see around us but this movement on the periphery also survives and...

IF YOU CAN ENTER YOUR SLEEP CONSCIOUSLY THEN YOU WILL ALSO ENTER YOUR DEATH CONSCIOUSLY

Did you remember ever entering your sleep in awareness? No. Never. Why? Because sleep is unconsciousness and that’s why, just before sleep, you lose your awareness and that’s why you never ever remember having entered your sleep consciously. However, it does not mean that you cannot enter your sleep consciously. You, certainly, can but this can happen to you only by your striving, only by your conscious efforts. If you can enter your sleep in awareness then, one day, you will enter your death too in consciousness and entering death in consciousness is end of this game of physicality i.e. this business of coming and going to this physical world in a physical form will end for you which is what we know as mukti or liberation i.e. liberation or mukti from physical existence.        Death and sleep are not different.
